Half marathon training has been pretty swell, thus far.
I am using Trish Blackwell’s couch to half app. I’ve found it to be very straightforward without a lot of shenanigans and terminology that I don’t understand.
I’m only on week two, mind you.
I much prefer a planned week with intent of what I’ll be running, rather than making a decision at 4:00 on the way to my car after work. After work I feel like I’ve been knocked around with a baseball bat and the idea of tromping around on a treadmill is the last thing I want to do. But! I’ve been doing it and have found that going in with a goal is much easier for me.
My sister in law has agreed to complete the half with me, which I think is SUPER exciting. She is marvelously athletic and has completed triathalons with high ranks. She’s an inspiration, no doubt! I’m thrilled to have that extra motivation to rock it out!
